Terms & Conditions

General Use of the Property

By accepting our terms and conditions you agree to take care of the property and its contents during your stay, as well as leaving the property in a good condition on departure.  You also agree not to make any unreasonable noise or nuisance to neighbouring properties. 

Please ensure that guests do not sit or lounge on any furniture whilst wearing sun cream without using a towel.  Please keep the pool cover on when the pool is not in use, especially overnight to help retain the heat.

Please ensure that caution is exercised using the swimming pool, no running around the pool area, no pushing into the pool, no Diving into the pool.  Guests use the pool at their own risk.  Children should be supervised at all times.

Please use the safe provided for your valuables.  All possessions, money and baggage remain at all times at the owner’s risk.

Strictly no smoking in the villa

Prices

All prices quoted on our website are in UK Pounds (£).  We reserve the right to alter any of our advertised accommodation prices, without notice.  You will be advised of the current price of the accommodation that you want to book, and the contract is only confirmed upon receipt of the Booking Statement.

Booking and Payment

The contract only becomes binding on receipt of a completed booking form and deposit of £200 per week booked of the total price.  The balance is payable no later than 6 weeks prior to the arrival date.  If the balance is not received within this time, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation, with the loss of any deposit paid.  If your arrival date is less than 6 weeks away, the completed Booking Form and the total amount of the booking is due within 3 working days, or by the arrival date, if earlier.  If the completed Booking Form and amount in full is not received within this time, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation and release the dates.  Any cancellation by us will only be actioned after sending a minimum of one notification of intention by email.

Upon receipt of the payment in full, you will be issued with the full arrival information, including address, directions, and key collection instructions.

Payment can be made by Bank Transfer to a Euro Account or sterling account. If you have received the services as detailed on the Booking Statement, you are not eligible to reclamation of any monies paid. Any issues, concerns or complaints regarding your accommodation need to be notified during your stay by email to bookings@villaamura.com.

Amendment to Booking

If, after payment of the deposit, or the amount in full, you wish to amend your booking by a couple of days either way, we will endeavour to assist where possible, subject to availability and compatibility with surrounding reservations.  For amendment requests greater than this, cases will be reviewed individually and if authorised by us, will be subject to any price variances to rental rates for the new dates and may be subject to an administration fee of €60.  Where we are unable to assist with your request and you do not wish to proceed with the original booking, this will be treated as a cancellation by you and will be subject to our usual Cancellation Policy.

Cancellation Policy

Any notification of cancellation by you needs to be by email to bookings@villaamura.com. The cancellation takes effect from the date the request is received, and the cancellation fees are as follows:

180+ days prior to departure date –received, 0% of deposit paid

70+ days prior to departure date –received, 25% of deposit paid

56-69 days prior to departure date – loss of 50% of the total cost of booking

42-55 days prior to departure date – loss of 75% of the total cost of the booking

0-41 days prior to departure date – loss of 100% of the total cost of the booking

We recommend that comprehensive travel insurance by taken out for all persons travelling.  You may be able to reclaim cancellation fees from your insurer.

Cancellation or Amendment to your booking by us

In the unlikely event that the villa becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, alternative accommodation with the price range as at time of the booking or a full refund of any monies paid will be offered.  Except if conditions of Force Majeure is in place then no refund of part or full monies paid will be made.  No refunds will be made as a result of failures of third parties i.e., transport including airlines, taxis, sea transport etc.  In the event that no suitable accommodation can be offered, then a full refund of the villa rental (which has been received) will be refunded.  Any refund is restricted only to the villa hire costs and we are not liable for a cancellation or administration charges to travel arrangements etc.

Accommodation

This is reserved exclusively for the people named on the Booking Form.  The property shall not be used for any events, commercial or illegal purpose, including subletting or allowing anyone other than those named on the Booking Form to stay in the property.

On departure, the accommodation should be left in a reasonably clean and tidy condition, the BBQ cleaned, and any waste adequately bagged and disposed of, as per local instructions.

Arrival Access and Departure

The villa is available for occupation from 15.00 hours on the day of arrival.  The property must be vacated by 10.00 hours on the day of departure.  Please inspect the villa on arrival and if there are any issues report them immediately to bookings@villaamura.com .

If there is no arrival on the day of departure it may be possible to facilitate a later check out time.

Building works, Third Party Nuisance, Natural Environment and Pests

The villa is in a quiet residential area however we cannot be responsible for any building work that commences during your stay.  We cannot be held responsible for nuisance caused by any third parties, including noise from disruptive behaviour from guests staying in nearby accommodation.  We cannot be responsible for any discomfort or inconvenient caused by the natural environment, wildlife, climate, insets, rodents or barking dogs.

Personal Injury

Whilst the property may have measures in place to enhance your safety this in no way implies that we accept responsibility for your personal safety, and we will not under any circumstances consider any claims for compensation arising from personal injuries that occur within the property or property grounds.  If during your stay, you consider anything unacceptable, that my result in injury to you or members of your party, then you should immediately email bookings@villaamura.com.

Covid 19 (Covid) and Covid-19 Cancellation Policy Waiver

Regulations are subject to change at short notice. Whilst we will endeavour to ensure that all guidelines and information given to you is up to date, it is your responsibility to consult official government websites to ensure compliance with current regulations in force at your time of travel.  We do not accept any responsibility if you are unable to travel as a result of inadequate or incorrect documentation and you will not be entitled to any refund.

We cannot be held responsible if anyone in your party becomes ill or is suspected of being Covid positive during your stay.  We will not be liable for medical expenses, extra accommodation, and costs as a result of quarantine or extra travel expenses.

If you are forced to cancel your booking 2 or 3 weeks from your travel date due to official travel restrictions, including quarantine being unreasonable on your return home, and you have adhered to the terms and condition and paid in full we will waive our cancellation policy and we will offer alternative dates if available or raise a credit note for use at a later date.  If you choose not to travel after the official restrictions have been lifted our usual Cancellation Policy will apply.

Concerns, Issues and Complaints

In the unlikely event that you have a problem regarding the accommodation during your stay please email bookings@villaamura.com.  We will do our utmost to resolve the situation as quickly as possible but would respectfully ask that you would make allowances for local working times and public holidays.  Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible for failure of public supply or utilities such as electricity, Wi-Fi, TV, or water, however we will do everything to minimise the disruption in the event that this occurs.

Force Majeure

You will not be compensated with a full refund or change of accommodation arrangements if we must cancel the booking in any way because of unusual or unforeseen circumstances outside of our control, including war, riot, terrorists’ activity, natural or nuclear disaster, industrial dispute, fire, forces of nature, epidemics, pandemics, or unavoidable technical problems with transport.  No compensation, costs, or expenses of any amount, including the costs of securing alternative accommodation will be paid by us.

Data Protection Policy

We are committed to protecting your personal information held by us for your booking.   We will only hold personal data for contractual purposes and relevant to your booking.  The information may be provided to public authorities, such as Guardia Civil, Customs or Immigration, if required by them or as required by law.  It will not be used or passed on for marketing purposes without your consent.

If you want us to delete your personal details, please email bookings@villaamura.com and we will ensure this is actioned within 20 working days of the request being received.  Please note that all services must be cancelled or completed prior to erasure.  If there are holiday bookings or services remaining, we cannot delete personal data as we remain under contract to provide services to you.  This will therefore mean that we need to continue processing your personal data.
